Plastic Wave
Collaboration with Hyundai, The Wellington Group and Loyola Marymount University. I created a 6 foot crashing wave using hundreds of recycled plastic bottles. I first constructed an intricate metal frame by welding hundreds of circular steel rods. From there, Students and I placed individual water bottles on the frame, creating the appearance of a wave made completely out of recyclables. This sculpture was created for the Hyundai #fillitforward event and was used as a marketing campaign as well as student engagement piece.
