World At War

Created for Artprize in Grand Rapids Michigan, World at War was entered into the largest art contest in the world. This sculpture placed in the top 100 finalists. World at War stands over 10 feet tall and is a hero hoisitng up a crumbling earth emerging from a pile of trash. Symbolistic of us as a society ruining our planet by plastics and unhealthy waste practices. World at War is one of the most meaningful pieces I have created to date.

Materials: Trash found on the California coast as well as local landfills, recycled tires, foam, steel.
