Helical Bull

I spent over 5 weeks making an intricate end grain wood pattern using Walnut, Mahogany, Black Limba, and Maple. The Bull measures 18” x 11” x 6.5” and is standing on a 1/2” solid steel plate pedestal. The Bull was 100% hand carved using various power and hand tools. The horns and hooves are made from Curly Maple. Accompanying the purchase of this sculpture is an end grain cutting board that was used with off-cuts from the sculpture. The cutting board measures 18” x 12.5” x 1.25”.
