Wandering Bear

I carved a Bear out of Walnut, Mahogany, Paduak Zebrawood, Buckeye Burl, Curly Maple and 7.5 gallons of epoxy resin. I first Milled all the wood and glued them up into blocks. I then poured 7.5 Gallons of resin in a mold and let cure for 10 days. Once the epoxy was cured, I used a chainsaw as well as other power tools to carve the bear out of the block. I then hand sanded the entire sculpture from 60 grit up to 5000 grit before polishing and finishing.
