Hummingbird

My first ever bronzed sculpture! This hummingbird stands 30” tall as it flutters effortlessly on it’s tail feathers. This sculpture was first sculpted out of clay, then 3D scanned. At the foundry they took the 3D scan, printed a mold and casted bronze off that mold. The sculpture then went through a custom patina process and finished with a clearcoat. This was a custom commissioned piece for a client and a hand carved base and plaque were fabricated for it. The base was carved using Black Limba and Walnut.
