Black Rhino

I carved a Black Rhino out of a hand selected piece of Black Walnut Burl and 8.5 gallons of epoxy resin. I first cut the burl to size and cleaned up all the debris. I then poured 8.5 Gallons of resin in a mold and let cure for 10 days. Once the epoxy was cured, I used a chainsaw as well as other power tools to carve the rhino out of the block. I then hand sanded the entire sculpture from 60 grit up to 5000 grit before polishing and finishing.
